What we’re about
Portland Psychedelic Society (PPS) is a community-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that exists to create inclusive space for psychedelic integration, education, and community building.
We hold many recurring monthly integration groups and affinity circles. We also often host one-off events like movie screenings, workshops, speaker presentation, park picnics, and more.
Most of our events are donation-based. Your donations help us to continue to offer this programming that serves our community.
Please take a look at our list of events below and consider joining us. We welcome those with no psychedelic experience, those with decades of experience, and everyone in between.
NOTE: Please DO NOT USE this group for solicitation of illegal substances. All such posts will be deleted and the offending members will be banned from the group.

WHY: To partake in the Portland Psychedelic Society Book Club is to embark upon a voyage of intellectual and spiritual discovery unparalleled by conventional means.
Here, amidst the mist-kissed ambiance of Portland's sanctuaries, seekers converge to explore the intricate tapestry of human consciousness through the prism of psychedelic literature.
Each gathering promises a communion of minds, where the boundaries of perception dissolve, and the essence of existence is laid bare. Through shared discourse and the sacred act of reading, participants unlock the secrets of the mind, gaining insight into the profound mysteries of existence and the boundless potential of the human spirit.
APRIL'S BOOK: Entangled Life: How Fungi Make Our Worlds, Change Our Minds, and Shape Our Futures
A mind-bending journey into the hidden world of fungi that will change your understanding of life on earth.
When we think of fungi, most of us think of mushrooms. But mushrooms are only fruiting bodies, analogous to apples on a tree. Most fungi live out of sight, yet make up a massively diverse kingdom of organisms that support and sustain nearly all living systems. Fungi provide a key to understanding the planet on which we live, and the ways we think, feel and behave.
In Entangled Life Sheldrake shows us the world from a fungal point of view, providing an exhilarating change of perspective. Sheldrake's vivid exploration takes us from yeast to psychedelics, to the fungi that range for miles underground and are the largest organisms on the planet, to those that link plants together in complex networks known as the 'Wood Wide Web', to those that infiltrate and manipulate insect bodies with devastating precision.
Fungi throw our concepts of individuality and even intelligence into question. They are metabolic masters, earth makers, and key players in most of life's processes. They can change our minds, heal our bodies, and even help us remediate environmental disaster. By examining fungi on their own terms, Sheldrake reveals how these extraordinary organisms — and our relationships with them — are changing our understanding of how life works.

- Making Space, Making Time - An Integrative Yoga ExperienceBurning Spirits Yoga, Portland, OR
Join me in-person @ Burning Spirits the first Thursday of the month in exploring yoga as a psychedelic integration tool.
There is limited space and subsequently, there is often a waitlist. If you are not sure if you can make it or something comes up, please update your RSVP to reflect your attendance.
About me, Bailey -
I received my Yoga Teaching Certificate this summer with Portland Community College. During my year long program, I was seeing parallels between the theories of psychedelic integration and the philosophy of yoga. My studies have influenced my mission as an instructor; to hold space for investigation and sensation and to feel as in your body as often as possible.
This is a foundational class, focused on the Hatha and Restorative Yoga styles and is designed to be accessible to any level of yogi.
What to expect -
- ~ 70 minutes of pranayama, asana, and meditation
- You are encouraged to bring your own mats and tools (blocks, straps, etc.), but some will be available.
- Masks are not required, but respected.
- This waiver must be signed before attending class.
Bring your intents and lessons with you for reflection and contemplation.
