WHAT TO EXPECT AT A SUPPORT GROUP MEETING:
Most of the meeting is spent in a sharing circle where people are seated in a circle taking turns discussing issues or asking questions and then allowing someone from the group to respond. You may participate in the discussion or just observe, whatever you feel comfortable doing. Every meeting is different and you will find the discussion interesting and you'll feel a sense of being connected to others as they share and discuss issues. The discussion is moderated by the organizer to ensure fairness and to meet the needs of all the attendees. Topics vary by month and by location depending upon the needs of those who attend. Snacks and beverages are provided. There is no cost to attend the meetings. Donations are accepted.
We encourage you to RSVP so you'll automatically be sent a reminder and it allows us to plan for the number of people attending. You can attend any of the meetups, although usually the same people go to the same location each month but it's up to you. You can just come as you are, no need to bring anything, the environment is casual. We look forward to seeing you at our next event!
