Major Topic: Docker for PHP developers.
Speaker: Kapil Sharma, Technical Architect at Ansh Systems.
Welcome to last bi-monthly meet-up of 2016. In 2017, we might have monthly meet-ups.
Docker is hot right now. If you are aching to get started with docker, but not sure how to, this meet-up is right platform. In this meetup, we will first start by explaining basic docker concepts like what docker is, its benefits, images, registry, containers, docker files etc, followed by an optional workshop for some practical.
Once we have our basics covered, we will spend some time to setup proper PHP development environment on your laptop using docker. Obviously, you will need to come with a fully charged laptop (we have limited power sockets) and preferably docker installed.
- Fully charged laptop. (We have many charging points but still, we can't provide it to all)
- To save time on installing docker, please come with docker installed on your laptop.
- Mac users: install 'Docker for Mac' from https://docs.docker.com/docker-for-mac/
- Windows users: if you have Windows 10 pro, use install 'Docker for windows'.
If you have older windows (XP, 7, etc.) install 'Docker toolbox'
To be raffled:
All meetups have something to be raffled out. It could be PHP Storm license (Thanks to our sponsor Jet Brains), PHP Reboot T-Shirts, Flash(pen) drives or anything else sponsored by Ansh Systems.

PHPReboot.com (our open source website)
As most of you know, we are managing PHP Reboot magazine at PHPReboot.com. It is an open source project by community members and developed in Laravel. You can view its source at github.com/phpreboot/website. In last one month, we developed few more features and now you can mark articles as a favourite so that you can visit them later. Please register at phpreboot.com and let us know how can we further improve it.
