Cast Interview + Q&A IN MY OTHER LIFE

Hi,

We have the opportunity to meet cast members of IN MY OTHER LIFE, by John Patrick Shanley. A play in English starting next month at The Theatre du Nesle.

I'm going to film an interview with them and then upload a few edited highlights.

Arrive at 6.45pm, interview at 7pm.

Cast: Julie Delaurenti, Tiffany Hofstetter (PARIS DRAMA MeetUp Member), Clarence Tokley

The interview will be followed by a Question and Answer session.

So, what would you like to know about acting in English in Paris?

- What's the play about?

- What are the acting challenges involved?

- How did you hear about the production?

- Did you audition or are you working with friends?

- What are the challenges in putting on the play?

- Who will the audience be? (Ex-pats? Tourists? French English speakers?)

- Do you have an acting agent in Paris?

- How much rehearsals do you need?

- How did you book the theatre?

- How do you advertise?

- How do you sell tickets?

- Are you a theatre company or a group of individuals who have come together for a one off show?

These are a few question of the top of my head, but I'm sure there's a lot more to ask and learn.

Here are some links to the show:

Do come along if you can.... But please remember to buy a drink and/or food on your way in, so that the cafe does kick us out!

See you then,

Peter

This sounds interesting. Unfortunately I am away that week. I will make sure I see the play though. Do you intend to organise a group going to the play?

I'll be working abroad during the run of the show, so I wont be able to attend, but I think I will suggest a date for people to go.

That would be nice, thanks. Looking forward to meet the group. I am not interested in acting myself so I have not had the chance to meet you. I joined to get more info about theatre in English in Paris. It is very active city but I have a bit of a lenguage bareer. Although I saw the movie about Camile Claudel with JB the other day and enjoyed it a lot. Somebody needs to explain to the French that sinchonising movies is a crime against humanity and art. Emagine that somebody spoke over JB in that movie! I loved it even I understood only a few words. I got the feeleng and the acting by Juliette Binoche which would have been lost with a voice over. Somebody should really take the French to a French movie sinchronised in English!
