What we’re about
PNW-ROS is a new chapter of the successful SV-ROS (http://www.meetup.com/SV-ROS-users/) Which I founded in 2013. I now live up here in the great PNW and seeing if there is any interest in ROS in the Tacoma/Seattle area.
ROS the "Robot Operating System" from ROS.org (http://www.ros.org) is the leading standard software used to control the next generation of intelligent and versatile robots.
The PNW-ROS users group is for all skill levels. All are welcome to learn how to shorten the ROS learning curve and get your robotic ideas, created and tested quickly.
Teams I have lead in the SV-ROS chapter have:
- Won the 2015 Microsoft connect Challenge
- Prestigious 2nd place at the 2016 Nasa Sample Robot Return Challenge (http://maxed-out.io).
- Trained over 50 people on using Neato botvacs for autonomous navigate
