Margaret's Way Hike

Margaret's Way Trailhead

Margaret's Way Trail is in the Issaquah Alps hiking area. Its listed as 6.5 miles round trip and 1500 feet elevation gain, the hike is listed as intermediate, so it will be a good workout. I typically hike at 2 mph. If you hike at a different pace, we can do our best to stay at a similar pace so we can all stay together. If you are new to hiking or are unsure of your speed don't hesitate to still come. I tend to stop for a breather/ water break every half mile or so. I want to create an inclusive hiking environment. In the future I will host a slower pace hike and faster pace if there is interest. we will meet at the trail head: for the directions on where to park please go to WTA's link. https://www.wta.org/go-hiking/hikes/margarets-way This hike is off of exit 15 on I-90 so not too much of a drive from Seattle. We will meet at the trail head at 8 am, We will wait 5 minutes for anyone and then head out. So if you are interested please arrive on time. There is no parking pass needed. In the future I will offer carpooling, with covid I am wanting to social distance as much as possible. Please check the weather before you head out, I will post an update the day before. Please pack your 10 essentials. If you need the list please visit: https://www.rei.com/learn/expert-advice/ten-essentials.html Even though this hike is really close to home please pack water, snacks and first aid supplies!! Because of covid, we will keep this hike limited to 5 people, I want to respect others who are hiking in the area as well as allow for all of us to keep our distance and still get to appreciate the hike and get what should be a really good workout in! Hopefully soon we can plan for more people.
