Hi Gary, If you can let me know if I am going as well & which boat I'm on that would be great. If that's undetermined, then a timeline for knowing one way or the other would be terrific. Thx!

Hi, thanks for organizing this. Should I expect that I will be slated for the trip? If not, do you know by when?

FYI, all of our skippers that already have a boat assigned are now in town and I'm hoping to try andget us all together this weekend hopefully so we can discuss adding more crew or boats to our going list , so please be patient and I'll get the word out ASAP after the meeting.

If anyone is a +1 (You have someone to share your cabin with) please note that or that you want your own cabin so we don't try to team you up with someone.

I could probably skipper a boat if you need.

Anybody from a prior trip willing to share approximate total expense amount they spent over the $1,500?

    September 4

    • Heather

Understood...which is why I'm asking for an approximation. No detail needed, everyone's spending habits are different. Primarily meals the other things you mentioned ( ferry, taxi, etc.)

When we gather on the Saturday at the marina, each boat discusses their diets and then go up the street to shop for provisions and split the bill, usually runs about[masked] per person for 7 days to eat on board. Usually we eat a meal a day at restaurants, some boats eat on shore more and some less. Most people spend about $30-50 a day on food and drink from my experience. Shuttle and taxi from STT airport to Road Town runs about another $100 round trip. Then there is lodging for however long you want to stay which varies. I hope this helps.

I am new to this group. What is BVI?

  • Jayne

What certifications do we need to have to qualify as a skipper for these charters?

    September 1

    • Jayne

Thanks for your vote of confidence Gary. I have sailed in the BVI before. It's a lovely destination! Enjoy!

As stated, I am not familiar with your skills and we have skippers that have done this with our groups that are interested in going and should be considered first. Not meant to insinuate anything I'm just picking familiar skippers first that I have sailed with to assure a fun and safe trip for all.

    Who is skippering the boats?

    August 31

    • Gary

That is still being discussed and I will post them soon.
