Do you wish to learn how to capture beautiful images of Newborn Babies?

Do you need to add or update images in your portfolio, then this event is for you!

Grab your spot now ... the RSVP will be VERY limited.

Working with one baby requires a very small group and I want to be sure everyone gets enough time to capture their own images.

Have you ever wondered how to get them asleep and posed in cute little hats, baskets, and other props? Are you curious how to get the babies in front of your camera before they are too old for newborn photography?

I have been a newborn baby photographer for about 10 years now, and have learned quite a few of the "tricks of the trade" along the way. During this 3 hour class, I will share with you how to properly handle, pose, and photograph a newborn baby.

We have a newborn baby lined up to model for us, so you will have the opportunity to capture images for your portfolio. I am also working on lining up a maternity model (as a bonus but no guarantee) to come in during this same time frame for us to capture a few images of as well. We often have a lot of "down time" during a newborn session, so I would like to add a little extra practice time capturing a "mommy-to-be".

We will spend a bit of time talking about the business of newborn photography, everything from how to market to newborn baby parents, what to say on the telephone, and finally how to sell the final images. I will show you how to set-up to pose and position the baby and different lighting scenarios. We will work with the baby for 2 to 3 hours, in between feeding and newborn baby care... so be prepared for a long afternoon!

All the lighting and remote triggers will be provided for you.

All you will need is your camera!

If you wish to purchase a trigger of your own. A set of these will also fire your flash off camera, and work as a remote shutter release. A set of 2 will cost only about $70. There are many varieties of radio triggers, but these are very inexpensive units which allow everyone to be on the same system.

*Please note: You are asked to upload your images to the Meetup website within 2 weeks of an event. The model (or parents of) are promised 2 to 3 full resolution images from each photographer that photographs at this class, but you may share as many images as you like through social media or email. This is the exchange for the models time and for the model release that allows you the rights to use them within your websites and portfolios.
