We warmly welcome you to the next Wellington PRINCE2 User Group event.

Topic: Better Business Cases - Love them or hate them?

Where: Deloitte, 20 Customhouse Quay, Wellington

Love them or hate them, we all know that business cases are a critical step in the development of a project or programme.

But how many of us see them as the dynamic foundation document that allows us to connect with our stakeholders and how many of us see them purely as a vehicle to secure funding?

Join us as Mel Wallwork and Celia van Vliet from Treasury discuss an upcoming piece of work to review the end-to-end Better Business Case (BBC) development and approval process.

Mel and Celia will use the attendees as a focus group to establish what of the BBC process is giving people problems and could benefit from change versus what is working well and should be retained.

This is a great opportunity for project managers & consultants to share their experiences and insights to influence the revision of the BBC process.

About our presenters:

- Mel Wallwork is a Senior Advisor in the Treasury Investment Management & Asset Performance team. He’s a High Risk Gateway reviewer & major project monitor currently working in the Gateway Unit arranging and facilitating agency Gateway reviews.

- Celia van Vliet is an Investment Reviews Programme Manager in the Treasury Investment Management & Asset Performance team. She’s a High Risk Gateway Reviewer and her role is to engage with agencies and reviewers to ensure Investment Reviews, particularly Gateway, are scheduled and resourced to provide the best possible support to projects and programmes at key points in their life-cycles.

A big thank you to Deloitte for their support in hosting this event and for sponsoring the drinks and nibbles.
