Whole 30 March Challenge

I have been looking to take my health to another level, so why not do a Whole30 Challenge for the month of March and invite others to share in the support and fun! Many of you are probably familiar with it or have done it before but if not you can learn more about the Whole30 at: http://whole9life.com/category/whole-30/
The time for thinking is over. Let's start doing!
As I am also inviting some non-Paleo people to partake in the Challenge, I will be hosting an informational/meet and greet event at our office (5031 N. Lincoln Ave, Chicago) on 2/20/13 at 8:00 pm. The Challenge will start on March 1st (a Friday) and go through March 31st (Sunday). I would like to have a kickoff potluck Friday night March 1st if enough people are interested. There will also be weekly support groups/potlucks where we can meet, discuss and eat (if we want). I have put together a general menu for the challenge and will have a host of other resources available at the 2/20 event for people interested. If you are not able to make it on 2/20 but are interested in participating, let me know and I can possibly email some of the information.

    For anyone interested, there will be weekly support groups for the Whole30 throughout March on Wednesdays at 7pm at 5031 N. Lincoln Ave (same place as the informational meeting) for anyone struggling or wanting to discuss. Good luck everyone!

    Hey I'm about to a month of a diet of my own design that is more restrictive than the Whole 30 (basically a combination of the specific carbohydrate diet and a low histamine diet) - I'd love to participate with you guys in this challenge even though I won't be eating quite the same. What do you think?

      Shannon -- I would say yes. I'm sure I won't be doing a pure Whole 30. I'm looking to up my fat intake, reduce my chances of migraines, and experiment with low carb endurance. I'm sure if I did a pure Whole 30, I would have trouble getting enough calories to do what I want to do.
