Announcing a new Meetup for Palo Alto Champagne and Wine Meetup Group!

What: French Sparkling Wine Tasting at The Wine Room in Palo Alto

When: October 7,[masked]:00 PM

Palo Alto Wine Room
520 Ramona St
Palo Alto, CA 94301

Hi Everyone,

Visit The Wine Room on October 7th from 5-8 pm and be transported to Alsace, a magical region in northern of France with a long and proud winemaking tradition dating back to Roman times.

Carole Steinmann, winemaker and part owner of Cave de Cleebourg, will be pouring four Alsatian sparkling wines rarely available outside of France. These wines carry the official AOC designation "Cr?mant d'Alsace" and are the result of a rigorous selection of only the finest grapes. This exceptional fruit is used to create a sparkling wine made using production methods similar to those used in the Champagne region of France. The result is wine with the unique flavors of Alsace and the sparkle of champagne.

To complement the wines we will be serving a warm Brie cheese with a Mango chutney. Specifically we will be tasting: Auxerrois, Pinot Noir Rose, Pinot Gris, and a blend (Symphonie en P) for just $20. Our Group gets a discount. Price will be $15.

About Cleebourg Winery

Founded in May 1946, the Cave de Cl?ebourg cooperative now has almost 190 members with vineyards that surround the villages of Cl?ebourg, Oberhoffen, Rott, Steinseltz and Riedseltz. Cave de Cl?ebourg is located 60 kilometers north of Strasbourg. Its vineyards cover almost 200 hectares of the northern Vosges Mountains in the Alsace region of France.
Unlike many wines in France whose names reflect the particular region from which they come, such as Burgundy and Bordeaux, wines from the Alsace region proudly bear the name of the grape variety from which they are made.
The wide range of grape varieties used to make Cave de Cl?ebourg wines give the wines a diversity of aromas and flavors that can be found in no other region of France.

Looking forward to seeing all of you again and also meeting some of our new members.
