What we're about

Welcome to the “Palo Alto - Manjushri Lineage Buddhist Group” Meet
Up.

Hello and Welcome,

We are a group of sincere, warm-hearted spiritual seekers in the Buddhist Mahayana and Vajrayana traditions. We want to make a difference in our hearts and in the world. This group is an opportunity for newcomers to Buddhism and established practitioners. Our aim is to unveil the limitless wisdom and compassion that is our fullest potential and help each other support the integration of the Buddha's teachings into our daily lives.

We have the great good fortune to be guided on our journey by Lama Namnang Mingjo Dorje Rinpoche, a very humble yet immensely accomplished yogi and world renowned teacher. We offer opportunities to attend teachings, meditation groups, Buddhist movies and other fun, spiritually nourishing activities.

Understanding The Cause and Effect of Peace of Mind

"My mind is stubborn and inferior, strong habitual patterns block me like a barrier. The evil fog of afflictions disturbs the mind and prevents reflection. Sailing against the current takes perseverance and courage. Destroy the darkness to eventually see the bright light." -Namnang Mingjo Dorje Rinpoche, world renowned teacher and Lineage Holder of the Manjushri Lineage The common teaching of Buddha is “Do not commit any non-virtuous actions, perform only virtuous actions, subdue the mind thoroughly.” While this teaching may be familiar to us, how to perform it is most likely unfamiliar or difficult to do the majority of the time. However, Buddhism teaches us how to think differently about our life in order to act differently, thereby affecting our inner mind and our outer world in more positive and beneficial ways. Want to learn more about what you can do to help yourself make progress on the path to achieving ultimate happiness? Please join us on Sundays at 12:30 PM for an introduction to the main principles that are the foundation of the Buddhist path. You can also learn about our world renowned teacher, the lineage holder of the Manjushri Lineage, who will be finishing a series of classes in San Jose, in three weeks We meet by connecting via webcast from our homes. Please RSVP and we will send you the webcast link and instructions before the meeting. For more information, please email or text Julie as early as possible before the Sunday meeting: [masked] or[masked]
