This Mindfulness Meditation group is for anyone looking to create more clarity, calm and connection in their lives. By taking time to slow down, quiet your mind and become aware, you open yourself up to a greater possibility of connecting with your deepest potential. One of the hardest things about practicing mindfulness is remembering to do it. Having a group to practice with encourages and supports our daily mediation practice. We will practice different forms of mindfulness mediation as well as discuss establishing and maintaining both a formal and informal practice in your daily life.
Mindfulness is the practice of learning to be in the present. Through meditative breathing, mindfulness helps us slow down and be aware of our moment-to-moment experience. It teaches us how to free ourselves of the judgments we place on ourselves and others, have a clearer understanding of our emotions, and a deeper connection with our minds and bodies. Mindfulness also provides techniques for increasing empathy, compassion and gratitude. Its practice has been scientifically proven to reduce stress and improve quality of life.
