Dense-Captioning Events in Videos Details

This presentation is about the following paper "Dense-Captioning Events in Videos". https://cs.stanford.edu/people/ranjaykrishna/densevid

How close can neural networks get to correlating video sequences with natural event descriptions of them in English?
In this seminal paper, a baseline is established for the task of dense natural-language description of events in videos with a simple architecture that will come to inspire many variations to win the ActivityNet Dense Captioning Challenge in later years

Classification of Online Debates Details

This presentation is about the following paper "Why are You Taking this Stance? Identifying and Classifying Reasons in Ideological Debates". http://www.aclweb.org/anthology/D14-1083

In this paper the authors are building a model to learn how to understand the user's motives and sides from a post in an ideological debate.

Attendants' Discussion Details

Another goal of our meetups is to provide a medium for people to collaborate in conducting new research and start-ups. We would give space for attendants to discuss their research and tech startups and help them find collaborators and partners
