David, sorry I could not make the rendez-vous with the "clean glasses". That said, if anyone needs help with camera work on these projects I'll make a special effort to come to Paris for that. For example I'll be in Paris Monday.

so, for those who weren't there...

we had projections of films... first by Mauro Flaviano, a great 12min film he did in the context of Kinopaname, then by Miguel Moreda, of two films he did music/sound for Kino filmmakers [one with great sound done in 3 hours].

and for those of you who left after that [hoping to hold the interest through to the next paragraph of the people mentioned at the head of the post]...

We got back together, talked and agreed to try the Kino style of filmmaking. There were about 15-20 people there, everyone wrote their contact info and speciality [actor, camera, director, screenwriter], which were put into 4 large clean glasses and then withdrawn [something like a database query], et voila, 4 groups of 5 people [2 actors per group] to make a 3 minute no-budget film before the next meetup [if possible], where they will be projected. There was a theme, maybe it gets used, or not.

It looks like this is going to work well, so if you didn't get in on this round, don't worry, we'll keep doing it.

As Mauro said, you can also just make your own film, so if you are up to getting that together, let me know.

So, reminder, each director please send me all info requested....

more on the blog early in the week.
