What we're about
This network is designed for breast cancer survivors diagnosed in their 40’s or younger regardless of your current age. Whether you have just been diagnosed, are still undergoing treatment or are several years out, join us to connect with others. Learn about available resources, ask questions, make new friends and be assured that you are not alone. Find out more information at youngsurvival.org (http://www.youngsurvival.org/) or connect with other Face 2 Face Networks in your area here (http://www.meetup.com/pro/yscf2f/).
Privacy settings for all YSC F2F networks are set to semi-private on Meetup.com. This gives young women searching for support the ability to find the network and see F2F meeting information. Things that can be seen by the public are Meetup name, date, time and attendee count. Other personal information remains hidden, such as Meetup location, description, member information and photos. However we understand privacy is very important and want everyone to have options when it comes to securing their own privacy.
YSC and Meetup.com suggest the following:
1. Do Not include a profile picture
2. Use a pseudonym or nickname like many of the women on YSC Community Boards
3. Select “Hide my email address” when given the option
You can select the kind and frequency of emails you receive from Meetup.com by selecting “Account” (top menu bar after you login to Meetup). Select “Email and Notifications” and uncheck any boxes under “Meetup Group Email and Notifications” and “Other Meetup Email.”
