PK class at Loma Alta Park

This week we'll be heading to Loma Alta Park. As mentioned at last weeks class there is a 1hr conditioning class from 12:00 - 1:00, giving a 30 minute break before the class itself starts. This conditioning class will be very demanding, but will dramatically help improve your body for parkour.

Please plan to arrive 5 minutes before class starts. If you are late and miss part of the warm-up, you will be unable to take part in the class. Plan ahead for traffic depending on where you are coming from. There are no excuses.

Last, we will soon be moving away from the meetup.com website and over to our new website. Check it out at americas.parkourgenerations.com. More details in the next couple of weeks and during class.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This a weekly parkour class from 1:30pm - 3:00pm at varying locations around Los Angeles. This class is aimed at practitioners of all levels and skills. Everyone is welcomed and no previous experience is required.

The class will concentrate on different areas of parkour training. Each class will be structured as follows:

(1) Warm-up

(2) Conditioning

(3) Specific parkour practice (will vary by class)

(4) Cool-down

The majority of the class will concentrate on a specific area of parkour, for example, vaults on rails, precisions, cat-leaps, conditioning for a traceur, mobility for a traceur, stretching, etc. Each class will change the area of concentration to provide a wide variety of training sessions.

Please try to arrive at least 5 minutes early as we will get started right at 1:30pm. If you know you will be late, please call James [masked]) before the start of the class as we may move location once the class starts.

Each class is $5 and the first class is free to try.

I posted the group shots. Give me a couple of days and I will edit some of the past sessions and get some of the action shots posted.

I would like to thank Kim Patton for doing a fine job with my complex camera to take the group images for us. Her young son fit right in the group and took some real challenges and did great.

James is a fine instructor. I am very pleased to be under his tutelage. The group works together, helps one another, offers encouragement and no matter how tired or frustrated one may become at times there is always laughter and smiles all around.

I'll be there for both conditioning and regular class. I changed my Kung Fu schedule from 8am to 11am so no late this time for sure. Hope I won't be destroyed. Fun Sunday!!
