Year: 2017 Duration: 94m Revered French filmmaker, Agnès Varda, and enigmatic photographer, JR, embark on a road trip across rural France onboard a giant mobile darkroom. Along the way, they stop by villages, meet the locals and immortalise memories, faces, and goats in giant photographs they then install in public spaces. Tender, playful and inspiringly humanist, FACES PLACES, is a moving tribute to small communities and those who live within them, and a charming record of two artists’ budding friendship and partnership

What we're about

Bienvenue!

We are a bunch of friendly people who enjoy having French conversations at the pub, café and participating in various activities such as going to the cinema, live bands, walks, football matches, etc. Being a member is FREE.

We invite you to become a member and immerse yourself into BOTH language and culture, have fun and make beaucoup d'amis !!! You can get all the details about events on the calendar.

Beginners to Native speakers are welcome!

NB: The group is not a French class - so if you're totally new to the language, you might want to find out about classes (search for The University of Nottingham, Nottingham Trent University, Nottingham Language Academy, language courses or have a look on gumtree.com) and come along to the group once you have acquired some conversational skills and are ready to practice.
