WARRIOR WALK 2019- Saturday July 27th, 2019. / Time: 8am
* First Presbyterian Church lawn. Join us for this patriotic family event.

The Iraq & Afghanistan Veterans of Polk County in conjunction with the Polk County Veteran's Council would like to invite you to a patriotic Themed "Warrior Walk" around beautiful Lake Hollingsworth in Lakeland, Florida.

The purpose of this event is to honor our U.S. Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines who have been killed in action while serving during Operation Iraqi Freedom or Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan.

If you participated in the event last year, Thank You. This event would not of been successful without the community support and sponsorships received.

We have never missed this event! Many bikers show up for this event. What we do is ride, not walk. We ride around the lake (a beautiful ride) passing all the walkers showing support. We will ride about 5-7 laps and then call it a day. All of the ceremony is before the walk, hence the reason to get there earlier rather than later. We will be done with the ride by 9:30am, then you can go and do what ever you wish for the day.

Lets meet at 7:00 am at the WAWA Gas Station (US-60 and Lakewood St.). We will simply take I-4 toward Lakeland, get off at exit #25 (County Line Rd) and take that south to Hwy 542 (Old Tampa Hwy). Take this road to S. Wabash Ave and then to Ariana St. to Palmola St to Lake Hollingsworth Drive. It is an early start, but it is the coolest part of the day, so I would rather get up early and ride in cooler weather than sleep in and melt later on in the day. As always, I look forward to seeing any and all Riders that can make this event.
