Come join for an exciting weekend camping. We will head out to Wyeth Campground which is just off of Interstate 84 in a forested setting with grassy fields. Set at the base of classic Gorge cliffs, this historic site features easy access to trails and a creek. The Mark O. Hatfield Wilderness and solitude is a short hike from the campground on the Wyeth trail. Osprey and bald eagles reside locally. This is a paid event with limited attendance; each participant will need to pay $15.00 via venmo to Ashleymdeane503. I ask you all to figure out your own favorite snacks, food, and camping gear. Parking is covered for up to 10 cars, I highly encourage you to make carpool arrangements if possible and if coming with guests please try to tent share. Firewood, extra drinking water and camp cleanup supplies will be provided! We can check into the group site starting at 2 pm on Friday! In order to be fair to those who really want to come I ask that you keep your RSVP current and secure your spot with payment as soon as possible. If you are unable to use venmo I ask that you keep communication open with me. Without confirmation you may be removed from event to make room for others. ******There will be group dinner Saturday evening potluck style! please bring something to share .****** (this is optional) Ideas for What to Pack: Small Tent sleeping bag pillow clothes for nice weather including a bathing suit clothes for cold evening weather Water food lantern bug repellent folding chairs Small bbq pit or camping stove if you have one books, games or anything for your entertainment!
I see these adds for ‘bubble run’ or ‘color run’ every year, it looks like a fun day. Facebook was running a promotion, link below, for FREE registration, normally 40$. You do have to pay for ‘fees’ and a T shirt, 12.09$ is what I paid all together. This should be an easy run, hence the name, ‘fun run’. It would be great to grab lunch afterwards, I will post a specific spot closer to the date or we can play it by ear (year?) http://bubblerun.com/upcoming-locations/portland-2019/?fbclid=IwAR2QEIlgAYOXJU1oBaugoCpzRFGM7cJYqoEUU3L0pmsc74P7GHdyS7P4El8 Disclaimer: when you get towards the end of booking there is a box for ‘subscriptions’ which would sign you up for annual events, newsletters etc. DONT CLICK THE SUBSCRIPTION BOX, you will be charged 89$ A clever tactic, easily missed especially after navigating several windows. I did check my account immediately after and was only charged the 12$ but I wanted to point it out, I almost clicked the wrong box thinking it was a waiver etc.
