P2P's Metro Trails Gravel Ride

  • December 1 · 7:30 AM

This is a mixed trail surface ride that includes about 85% hard dirt path and 15% pavement.  A gravel oriented bike like a cyclo-cross, hybrid, mountain bike, gravel bike or bike with at least 28c width tires are suggested, but not mandatory.  I have ridden all these trails on a road racing bicycle - but it wasn't super comfortable.

This is a 2-3 hour ride depending on ability, about 26-27 miles in length.  Route follows the Highline Canal Trail to Dry Creek Trail to Willow Creek Trail to C-470 Trail to Lee Gulch Trail returning to Carson Nature Center on the Platte River Trail.

Temperatures will be cool, so dress appropriately.  Winds will be minimal as all the trails are sheltered by tree's except the  C-470 trail.
