What is your experience with the NH 4000-footers: How many have you hiked, which have been your favorites, what were your biggest challenges?

My first ever 4K was Mt Lincoln and Lafayette this past summer. I was so blown away by the spectacular views and amazing alpine zone that I ended up hiking all of the 48 in the next 4 months. Huntington Ravine was probably the toughest climb trail-wise, though the most difficult hikes were a traverse of Mt Madison, Adams, and Jefferson via Kings Ravine; Southern Presi + Isolation Traverse; and a Willey, Field, Tom traverse + Zealand and Hale all in one day in the driving rain and cold. Favorites include the Franconia Ridge, Liberty/Flume summits, Mt Adams Summit, Mt. Isolation, and I love slides (Arrow Slide bushwhack was awesome).

What are your hiking goals?

Since completing the NH48, my current goals are to hike the 4Ks in winter while not neglecting the 52WAV, though I have no goals in terms of pace. I do want to do at least a hike or two in the North Presidentals/washington this winter.

Do you hike all seasons?

Yes, though this will be my first time winter hiking. I've got all the gear (except crampons, will try to get away with just microspikes/snowshoes for now).

What hikes would you like to see posted?

I'd like to see all the hikes posted, though my interest is mainly the 4Ks and 52WAV.

Are you interested in leading your own hikes or events?

Yes, though I wouldn't want to lead hikes during the winter until I have solid experience.

I've been bit by the hiking bug. Started and completed the NH48 over the summer and I'm looking forward to winter hiking. Also a big fan of craft beer, music, and food.
