Walk on the North Coast

We are going to meet at the car park of the Gurnard`s Head and will walk through the fields to Zennor. The church is always worth a visit...

From there we are going to walk back to the Gurnard`s Head over the coastal path, this circular walk will be approx. 3 hrs. Stunning views, moderate Walking. We can have a coffee at the Gurnard`s Head after our walk....

Looking Forward to seeing you there, Astrid x

Hi all, I'll be there... As long as I'm not stuck at the side of the road waiting for the AA like the last meet up I was supposed to attend :-) as it looks like a relatively small group this time, how do I recognise you?

Hi. Looking at google maps I'm guessing this to be less than 5 miles am I right? Reading comments about children I think the coastal path bit might be a bit challenging for my knees but would like a chance to find out. My proposal would be to come with a friend and drop off from the group or turn back across the fields if need be. I have an OS map, will check it out on there and bring it so no anxieties for group if we duck off. I hope that's ok, I recently moved down here, can manage the clamber up and down fishing cove but take my time to do so. My friend is an alpine walker. Thanks. Tina

have you reversed the walk? your information says across the fields to zennor and then along the coastal path. my preference is to walk with the group

No, I have not reversed the walk. I just wanted to say that your proposal to maybe take the route back through the fields is fine with me...

Hi Everyone, I have just moved here with my daughter who is 5, do you think this walk would be OK for a five year old? She is used to walks, but I am not familiar with this area. We'd love to come!

Hi Zoe, the walk to Zennor through the fields will be OK for her but I am not sure if the walk along the sea on the coastal path would be... it is a bit steep with some rocks and not that easy. ... but it`s hard to say as I don`t know how fit your daughter is..

It's too tough for a five year old. My grandson is 7 he really struggled.

I'm going to have to dip out of this group as just noticed 'no dogs'. My springer is a trained gun dog, so at my recall in an instant. Going for a walk without her wouldn't make sense! Hope the group has lots of great times.
