NORML Presents: The Legendary Irvin Rosenfeld at UCF

Irv reached out to me personally and told me he wants as many of our volunteers at this meeting as humanly possible. I recommend you make a point to come out to this event. Parking is free in the F parking garage (behind the CFE arena), otherwise it's just a $5 parking pass fee to park anywhere with a green section.

From the NORML@UCF Event Invite:

"In the fall of 1982, Irvin Rosenfeld and 5 other citizens of the United States began being inducted into the Compassionate Investigational New Drug program, or Compassionate IND Program for Medical Marijuana. Under this program administered by the National Institute on Drug Abuse, these people receive packages of marijuana from the federal government each month grown at the University of Mississippi. Rosenfeld, the first to be introduced to the program due to a rare form of bone cancer, receives 9 ounces in the form of marijuana cigarettes every 25 days.

Following January's ruling to allow medical marijuana to be voted on this November in the State of Florida, the month of February has been a rather exciting one for the student-run organization.

Medical Marijuana Month, as NORML@UCF calls it, is an entire month dedicated to educating the University of Central Florida and the greater Orlando area about Medical Marijuana and how it can help the community. February's guest speakers have already included biomedical researcher Jahan Marcu as well as Elvy Musikka, another federal marijuana patient under the Compassionate IND Program.

The last meeting of Medical Marijuana Month featuring Irvin Rosenfeld is February 26th (starts at 7 pm) at the UCF main Campus in the Student Union Room Room 218AB

Irv will most likely have copies of his book, "My Medicine" for discounted price to students, (which he will sign) along with T-Shirts, so make sure you stick around a bit after the meeting.

Also, it happens to be his birthday!!!

The meeting is free and open to the public.

Learn and Grow"

See you there! (Please invite some friends to come, even if you can't attend personally)
