Slow Art Day is a worldwide celebration of art that encourages people to look at art SLOWLY – and thereby experience art in a new way.
Va MOCA will celebrate Slow Art Day from 10am until noon. We will start with a viewing of 4 selected works from the current exhibitions for the first hour followed by a group conversation about the pieces. Not sure how to view art slowly? Don't worry, gallery teachers will be there to lend a hand and provide some tips.
Just pay the regular cost of admission (free to MOCA members) and MOCA will provide refreshments during the discussion. See http://virginiamoca.org/about-moca for admission prices and directions.
