Slow Art Day at MOCA

Slow Art Day is a worldwide celebration of art that encourages people to look at art SLOWLY – and thereby experience art in a new way.

Va MOCA will celebrate Slow Art Day from 10am until noon. We will start with a viewing of 4 selected works from the current exhibitions for the first hour followed by a group conversation about the pieces. Not sure how to view art slowly? Don't worry, gallery teachers will be there to lend a hand and provide some tips.

Just pay the regular cost of admission (free to MOCA members) and MOCA will provide refreshments during the discussion.  See for admission prices and directions.

OK, the handouts are printed and the refreshments are ordered for Slow Art Day. I ordered enough for a few more than the 12 or so that have signed up so bring a friend!
