I have direct experience installing PV systems with battery backup. Maybe 15 such systems, with various b.b. inverter manufacturers such as SMA, Outback, Beacon, etc. although its been several years because I been working for a large commercial solar inegrator. I'd be happy to speak with them and provide guidance. Particularly on the contractor selection since the NJ market has become saturated with Solar Cowboys.

Subject: [Permaculture-Network] solar in central nj
i'm talking with 2 households in princeton who are looking for someone who can help them install solar systems in their homes. from my conversations with both families, they don't want the typical grid-tied system, but rather a battery bank-based setup that can provide electricity during outages. can anyone suggest someone cool and friendly, with experience and knowledge, who can either help these folks get
started with a good eco-minded contractor or take on these clients. thanks!
for the earth,
