Join us as we help Vic and Lisa Bausell continue to implement Permaculture design at their homestead, Sage Ridge Farm. We'll be installing erosion control rock structures to slow, spread and sink water in their landscape. These structures are designed to passively harvest water in the landscape by returning channelized, erosive runoff to sheetflow. This will help to convert a damaging flow of water into a regenerative resource. The techniques we'll be using are a compilation of several taught at the recent Urban Roots workshop with Craig Sponholtz. Our learning goal is to apply these techniques in a way that harmonizes with the specific landscape setting at Sage Ridge Farm. For more information on the techniques and a how to field guide, check out:

Primary activities include measuring and surveying, digging and grading with hand tools, broadcast seeding, and conscious placement of rocks (mostly cantaloupe sized, and lots of them).

To Bring: Gloves
Shovels (if you can)
