They locked the weaver bird up for over 100 years and yet it instinctively remembered how to weave its nest once reintroduced to its natural environment. Reconnecting is effortless yet seldom done very often in our busy lives.
Commune with nature, commune with people. common-union, community gathering, fun times and yoga in the full appreciation of the wonderful land we walk on.
Starting in lower car park meeting at 8.15am by the 6 red rocks outside the public toilets, we will begin our morning at 8.30am with a 15 minute meditation on the banks of the Swan River. As a group, we will trek for 1.5 hours on the top trail at Bells Rapids, taking the wide red path and following the rainbow crystal trail up to the golden tree lookout. Be prepared to find an array of beautiful rocks and crystals before immersing in a 1 hour Hatha Yoga class, looking out over the glorious Swan Valley region of Western Australia.
See Kangaroos, goats, ostriches and birds in their natural habitat and expand your energy in the Perth countryside. Finish with a picnic and swim in the serene, lush, green spots along the river. Please BYO your own picnic food, water, yoga mat, swimming wear and towel. Other things you might need for the trek: A hat with a net (for flies when hot), camera, and enough water to last the 3 hours moving.
Your yoga teacher, Will, knows the trail well and is qualified in teaching yoga and basic First Aid. Will has been organising social yoga events in Perth for the last 2 years and has been involved in and guided treks in the Yorkshire Dales and in the Peak District in England since the age of 11. Will loves exploring Australian nature and meeting new people to trek and share his yoga with.

Whilst the yoga class is suitable for all levels, the Bells Rapids trek is quite challenging and is not recommended for people who suffer from exhaustion after being out in the heat or after doing excessive exercise. The trek includes, steep climbs and declines which can be difficult for some people on the knees and ankles. Proper consideration for the appropriateness of the trek for your health should be given before booking. We can help you rebuild knee and joint strength using yoga but this takes time and a conscientious gentle approach, so give thought to catching up on a few classes and walks before hand if you are unsure. Refund Policy: Refunds will be provided in full where an event is cancelled or rescheduled and you are unable to attend an alternative Trek. Any questions, feel free to shoot us an email/message.
