We are a group of End-of-Life Care and Bereavement professionals brought together by our love and our losses of senior pets. We would like to share our professional training with the community we live in by providing a free support group for dog & cat lovers to help guide them through the many complicated and painful End-of-Life issues encountered as they navigate this very difficult time.

Our group consists of Dr. Sara Fletcher, End-Of-Life Care Veterinarian & owner of Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice & In-Home Euthanasia of the Piedmont, Ron Grillo, Animal Chaplain, Ellie McFalls, MCHT, a grief recovery specialist, and Don McGee, FDL, Animal end-of-life care crematory specialist & funeral director.

Everyone that has ever loved a pet like family has faced the terrible truth that we are likely to outlive them. Although it can seem impossible to survive this event, many of us do it again and again, as many times as possible throughout our lives. People rarely recognize that grief is cumulative. Every loss is attached to all things lost before it, making each worse than the last. So often those left behind have no place to grieve, they are told they're foolish for carrying on about "just a dog", or they isolate themselves to avoid embarrassment. It can be a lonely time, and it's made so much more painful when the one thing you've always been able to count on - your pet- isn't there to comfort you anymore. Grief is reaching out for the thing you need the most only to find it isn't there. Well, we are here. And we get it.

We invite you to join us at 6:30 pm, the first and third Tuesday of the month, at Family Pet Cremation Center, 1039 E. Lindsay St. Greensboro, NC 27405. We welcome all to our circle of unified understanding in the hope of supporting our fellow pet lovers through the twilight years, as they face End-of-Life Care decisions, and after our fur-people become angels.
