This group is hosted by “A & R”, a happily married couple with 17 years experience exploring and practicing open relationships.
During these years of our lives we have attended, hosted or facilitated hundreds of polyamory & open relationship workshops, seminars & discussions.
Through these experiences we have come to believe it is extremely beneficial, if not critical, for couples, and singles practicing open relationships, to have other people to discuss this critical aspect of their unconventional lives with.
But where to do so?
Though there are therapists who have personal experience in polyamory & open relationships, most do not, nor do they typically have any specialized training in this area. Therapy is good for many things but, truthfully, people in open relationships are not (necessarily) crazy or emotionally unhealthy. It just feels that way sometimes....
What we believe people in open relationships actually need is to discuss the pitfalls that befell all of us as we navigate these uncharted waters, and learn how to best negotiate them.
To that end we are offering a regular schedule of discussions, on topics relevant to anybody in an open relationship, that is intended to foster better communication between you & your partner(s).
