THE SIXTH CONCERT ON OUR $10 PER CONCERT EXCURSION INTO THE PHILADELPHIA CHAMBER MUSIC SOCIETY SERIES!
I had to get one last concert in to take advantage of $10 Day! This should be a memorable chamber music concert -- just the kind of thing we'll need to lift our spirits on TAX DAY!
Musicians from Marlboro, the touring extension of the renowned Marlboro Music Festival in Vermont, offers exceptional young musicians from the summer Festival together with seasoned artists in chamber music programs of rarely heard works and masterpieces of varied instrumentation. Each year, more than twenty five outstanding artists take time from their regular activities to bring Musicians from Marlboro concerts to cities around the country.
It's always a treat when the visit Philadelphia and perform for PCMS. Please note, this is a different venue. The Seaport Museum has a wonderful auditorium with great acoustics -- it's one of my favorite places to go and watch a concert. Great views of the river too!
Here is the program:
Reger: Lyrische Andante
Schubert: Octet in F Major, D. 803
This performance features a free pre-concert lecture starting at 6:45 PM with Peter Schoenbach, I'll let thou know if I'm going to that too!
