Legacy Data, SQL and Grails - How can they play nice?

  • Feb 28, 2011 · 6:30 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

One of the topics requested late last year was how you can use Grails to map to an existing database.  Ken Rimple and Ahsen Jaffer will present a talk on dealing with existing databases in Grails.  We'll outline the following strategies:
  - using GORM and the static mappings keywords to map existing database structure
  - Using JPA annotations and hibernate mappings
  - Executing Stored Procedures using various mechanisms
  - Exploration of gsql
We'll be using postgresql as our test database, and discussing approaches to dealing with others as well.

Food available starting at 6:00, presentation starts at 6:30.
