I hope everyone is enjoying their Memorial Day weekend. Here's a summary of the May meetup:
Daniel demoed his home automation project. He's using his home webserver to control an LED lamp via an Arduino - with PHP and Processing code to glue it all together. He's hoping to expand the system to control more home systems than just the lamp in the future.
Mike gave a presentation and a demo on how Stepper motors work and how to control them from an Arduino (I have some handouts if anyone is interested. I don't have electronic copies). He also gave an update on his solar collector project, which included pictures of the mirror support framework. Its very large! Daniel thought this might be one of the largest projects controlled by an Arduino.
Let me know what topics you want to demo or discuss for the June meetup. I will be publishing the notice in the near future. I hope to have Part I of my control theory presentation ready. I am also looking into alternate venues for the meetup. I am grateful for the Hive, but I know its not the most convenient place for everyone. I am looking into an Old City locale for the June (or perhaps July) meeting. Let me know your thoughts on that.
Here are some amazing robot videos to tide you over until the next meetup. Enjoy!

Autonomous quad landing on a moving platform (unlike the first video, this is something that our project can aspire to)http://diydrones.com/profiles/blogs/automatic-take-off-tracking

See you next month!
