Many regard the pursuit of virtue as Stoicism’s most central and important idea. We will discuss the Stoic meaning of virtue, the benefits of pursing it, and the value and cultivation of virtues such as honesty, consistency, and kindness. Our discussion will be based on Chapter 11, Virtue, in the book, The Practicing Stoic by Ward Farnsworth.
