7 miles Class 2 (Rolling hills and some rocks on trail)
DESCRIPTION: Walk along Continental Lane, the path that George Washington and his troops traveled after crossing the Delaware. We will walk a portion of almost every trail in this lovely park. The trails are varied.
BRING: Waterproof boots recommended. Bring a light lunch to eat midway through hike.
LEADERS: Amparo and Bill Harpel. Please check the Meet Up site message board by 8:30 a.m. the morning of hike if the weather is doubtful. Snow, rain or ice may cancel. Deborah Lamb, organizer may be contacted via Meet Up if questions.
DIRECTIONS: Take 95 North. Cross Scudders Falls Bridge. Take 1st exit for 29 North toward Lambertville. Take a right on 546 East. Go .8 miles and take a left into the park. Follow signs for Visitor Center/Museum. You will cross Continental Lane Trail twice. There are brown Continental Lane signs each time. When you cross it the second time there will be a "Yield" sign. Proceed straight ahead to the large parking lot.
IMPORTANT: Per PTC standard practice you will be asked to sign a waiver when you arrive at the meeting place. Hikers are expected to follow the PTC hiking guidelines (http://philadelphiatrailclub.org). Please review the hike description and decide if it matches your abilities.
