If art isn't your full time profession, than what is? What other activities and/or hobbies do you enjoy?

Being retired is my present status. Funny thig is I seem to paint less in retirement than when I had the pressures of w**k. (now a four letter word to me). Also enjoy sailing and doing handyman jobs around the neighborhood.

We are curious as to each persons definition of "What is art". In a few words, give me your definition of what art is to you. Our definition of art is "a spirit of creativity that flows from mind to hand".

Art to me is taking control (hopefully)of my materials;paint, paper, brushes and water and showing the viewer the world as I see it.....

How long have you been working as an artist? Would you be interested in helping plan events for this group?

Painting for 25 yrs.

What do you hope to learn and share as a group member? What are your future goals? What is your current age?

Meet other artists and be mutually inspired. Future goals?, becoming a member of the AWS (Am. Watercolor Scociety). Current age? you have to cut me in half and count the rings;) ....65.

What kind of art do you do or make? Do you need help with beginnng or finishing a project?

Watercolor. Beginning....putting the first mark on the paper is the most difficult.

I have painting watercolors for many years....and still can't tame the medium. I have been asked if I paint with other mediums i.e. oil, acrylics etc. Ans. If I ever master watercolor I might try the others. Doubt I will.....
