Tea & Pastries at Le Pain Quotidien (801 Walnut) on Monday Feb 11th - FREE!

Friends -- About a year ago a wonderful Belgian bakery & pastry shop that I love from my years of living in NYC finally opened locations in Philly! It is called "Le Pain Quotidien", and we will meet at their location at 801 Walnut Street, on the NW corner of 8th & Walnut Streets. Le Pain Quotidien is more well known for their coffee & wonderful hot chocolate, however they are in the process of expanding their tea selection, so I thought this would be a good opportunity to show our support.

The Expanded TEA Selection:

Brussels Breakfast
English Breakfast

Earl Grey

Red Fruit
Masala Chai
...and possibly more. Each order of Tea comes as a nice pot size serving.

Le Pain Quotidien has a wonderful selection of delicious pastries including: mixed berry tart, lemon tart, apple cannele, Belgian brownie (my favorite!), coconut macaroons, & more. Plus since we'll be there during the week of Valentine's, they will have expanded their pastry menu with a few more specialty holiday items!

date & time: Monday February 11th, 5pm to 8:30pm
location: Le Pain Quotidien
address: 801 Walnut Street
cost: FREE to Attend, each member must pay for what they order

Le Pain Quotidien at 801 Walnut is a lovely open & airy location, large windows that face onto Walnut Street, and with a long community table in the middle of the room. The first of our group to arrive will be seated at the community table and we will add more tables as our group expands beyond that.

I also want to mention that there is a lot more on the menu at Le Pain Quotidien than just "Tea & Pastries". They have delicious sandwiches, salads, quiches, & more. Plus beyond tea, coffee, & hot chocolate they also serve beer & wine. You are encouraged to order whatever you like, please don't limit yourself to "Tea & Pasties" because of the title of the event. We're here to have fun, chat, & meet new friends in a charming & casual setting. Can't wait!

see you soon,
