Agenda for April 3rd: Introducing new people, eat food, discuss the book, special announcements, vote for a new book, spirited discussions, the oversharing hour, drunken Jenga, and pants off dance off.
Our book for March-April, as voted on by you: "Bonk: The Curious Coupling of Science and Sex" by Mary Roach, available in print, digital and audio forms. “Rich in dexterous innuendo, laugh-out-loud humor and illuminating fact. It’s compulsively readable.” — Los Angeles Times Book Review
Skeptics In The Pub is held in various forms around the globe, and we started a local chapter. It's a chance for like-minded people to get together for drinks, discuss things skeptic-related in a friendly, informal setting, and meet others who may or may not share opinions, but are interested in the topics.
We're planning guest speakers for future events, ranging from academics to comedians; we welcome any ideas or suggestions. We're also looking for people who would like to help out or contribute to the effort in some way. If you are able and willing, email firstname.lastname@example.org
Frankford Hall, with its great selection of beer, simple food menu, central location, cozy atmosphere, and cafeteria-style seating makes it the perfect place to hold this meeting. Street parking usually available. Get there a bit early for the happy hour prices.
We have a small regular group and we're looking to grow a bit and make some new friends. If you're a skeptic and a good person you should join us. We usually end up hanging out/carrying on well past 10pm, or taking the party elsewhere. If you don't see us in the front, to the right, at the tables, check outside in the courtyard. Spring is about to be sprung.
