What is your current level of writing? Novice, weekend writer or professional?

Professional. I produce multimedia commercials for a living, have optioned two features and produced three features that others have written. I've produced, directed and written for Screen Wars, a local (AZ) Emmy Award-winning TV show. I have a Telly Award for writing. Currently in development on two features, one of which I wrote and will direct.

How many feature length scripts have you written in the last year?

I'm rewriting one. Does that count? I have about a dozen fully written features under my belt. Two have been optioned but died in development.

What type of writing to do you like? Feature, television, documentary

Features mostly. My goal is to win an Academy Award for Screenwriting.

How much time do you have to devote to the group events? One event a month, 2+ events a month? Cannot commit to any events a month?

Because of my vigorous volunteer and teaching schedule, I cannot commit to any events, nor do I expect to attend any instructional events geared toward beginning writers unless I feel I can contribute productively to the discussion topic.

How did you hear of this group?

Members may remember that I gave a talk to this group on story structure using The Lion King as a great example. I'm still interested in supporting my fellow writers in any way I can.
