Rick Sammon Workshop in American's Hometown of Plymouth, MA. August 12, 13, and 14th, 2011.

We all enjoyed Rick Sammon's presentation at his seminar at the Plantation in November, and his 3 day workshop in June so much we asked him to come back in August for another workshop! Here are some details of our weekend together, the weather may dictate some changes. Rick likes to keep things flexible, the idea is you'll get a lot of one on one, shooting instruction, photo review, and post processing help, while having fun!

Friday, August 12th 5:30pm gathering for a friendly welcome dinner at a private home in Manomet, Plymouth, on a pond. Bring your camera and flash as there will be a Daylight Fill-in Flash Demo and practice. Sunset and possibly a view of the nearly full moon.

Saturday August 13th 8AM Meet at our classroom in the Radisson for an HDR and Macro demonstration, then a morning shoot at Plimoth Plantation or other location, possibly at a dance studio with dancers as models. PM - Macro photography at a beautiful flower garden and Rick will have some Canon macro lenses available for use during the macro workshop. Then download and work on images, software info and instruction, photo review etc. at the Radisson in our classroom. 5:30pm group dinner if you want to join the fun, possible painting with light photography.

Sunday, August 14th: 7am to 9am on location photoshoot at an old Mansion, then indoors for Everyday Studio Lighting work, with post processing and feedback after at the Radisson in Plymouth. Photo review and slide show. Workshop ends at 5pm.

Maximum of 15 participants. Fee will be $335 for the weekend. Fee includes personal and photographic instruction, and guidance. Topics covered will include digital workflow, Lightroom and Photoshop along with photo review. We arrange shooting locations, meeting rooms for post processing and feedback, slideshow. Your part: Transportation, and lodging if needed (we recommend The Radisson Hotel on the waterfront as the group hotel). You pay for all your own meals, entrance fees to locations as needed and incidentals. Friday and Saturday night's dinners are around $15 each and you bring your own beverage.

You'll need a camera and laptop computer, PC or Mac and you MUST know how to find your photos on your computer. Some post processing software that connects to Photomatix or Nik HDR is needed for HDR, trial version is fine. Photoshop or Photoshop Elements are encouraged. Details subject to change.
