Photographer Chase Jarvis said that the best camera (http://blog.chasejarvis.com/blog/2009/09/the-best-camera-iphone-app-book-community/) is the one you have with you. For many of us that's your smartphone. So bring your camera phone for a sunset photo walk thru Gov Nelson State Park. We'll meet in the parking lot near the boat launch and pet swim area, then we'll follow the Morningside Trail (http://dnr.wi.gov/topic/parks/name/govnelson/pdfs/govnsummermap.pdf) 2 miles thru the park.
In addition to our Flickr group (http://www.flickr.com/groups/madphotomeetup/), you can also post your mobile photos to Instagram with the hashtag #nelsonphotowalk. You can find other Instagram users in the meetup group on this thread from the discussion board (http://www.meetup.com/Photography-Meetup-Group/messages/boards/thread/26640122/0#[masked]).
For tips on shooting with your phone, check out this link shared by one of our members, via CNN: 12 tips to become a better smartphone photographer (http://www.cnn.com/2012/09/28/tech/mobile-photo-tips/index.html).
Of course, if you don't have a camera phone or would rather shoot with your "real" camera, I'll forgive you http://img1.meetupstatic.com/614102232183174521616/img/smileys/wink.gif and you're welcome to join in too!
