Scavenger Photo Hunt - Mansion Hill Neighborhood

We will meet on the corner of Wisconsin Ave & Gilman St at 9:15 AM on Saturday, June 21.

You will be given a list of words. Your task will be to create photographic images that express the meaning of those words. You will have 1 hour to shoot images. We will then reconvene at the corner of Wisconsin & Gilman, then walk to Michaelangeo's Coffee shop on State St to share our images with each other.

The Mansion Hill Neighborhood is four blocks off the square and is home to some spectacular homes.

There is parking on the street in the neighborhood, but I would suggest parking in one of the ramps off the square and making the short walk to our meeting point.

If you want photos of the Naked bike ride again, this year it is June 20 downtown.

It's going to be a while before I can access my photos. My PC fatally crashed, I suspect I'll be replacing the motherboard and processor.

I so bummed I'm not going to be there for the scavenger hunt today! Allergies are kicking my butt and humidity makes it worse. I'm also sorry I'll miss the world naked bike ride... Have a great time everyone!

Well, I just read an email I get weekly from the Dane County Farmers Market. Guess what, at around 11:00 am the World Naked Bike Ride will take place around the square. it should last about 15 minutes.

There are TWENTY-EIGHT signed up for this Saturday's Scavenger Photo Hunt. I hope ALL OF YOU show up for this meet-up. A couple of reminders, Saturday mornings in downtown Madison are BUSY with Farmer's Market on the Square, stuff on State Street, Conventions in town, weddings, summer school at UW and MATC -- please allow yourself plenty of time to get downtown and find a parking space. I find the city ramps the easiest to park in and they are cheap - max $5.00. We are meeting at 9:15 AM, yes in the morning at FIFTEEN minutes pass the hour of NINE on the corner or Wisconsin Ave and Gilman St right in front of the glass covered insurance building on the corner. I hope you are all ready for some fun . . . .

There are a lot of great parks around the lakes (Picnic Point, Gov. Nelson, Olin), it depends of time of day. Use something like the Photographers' Ephemeris to get the timings and angles down: http://www.boostyourp...
