Topic Presentation and Discussion: This month we have a special guest speaker! Fine art photographer Lois Bielefeld will be joining us and talking about developing personal projects. Lois has a number of ongoing personal projects, and three images from her Weeknight Dinners project are currently on display at the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art.
In addition, the photographers that are exhibiting at the Sequoya Library in January will have their prints on display. You will have a chance to see the exhibit before it goes up. I am really proud if the group, and I am excited to see all the final images! "Pick Three" Member Slideshow: Photographer's Choice!
Each month we encourage members to share three of your favorite shots. These could be based on the topic suggested at the previous monthly meeting, something you've been working on yourself recently, or something pulled out of your personal archives that you just had to share!
This is our famous member "Pick Three" slideshow!
About a week before the meeting, you will be asked to submit up to 3 photos on Flickr to share with the group (but you may add your photos at any time, and please keep it PG-13). At the meeting, you'll have an opportunity to introduce yourself and talk a little about your photos. Don't worry, this is not a public critique. We're a friendly group who loves to look at and talk about photos as much as you do. And don't be shy, even if this is your first meeting--we want to see your photos!
Please tag your photos with Dec2016Meeting
For details on how to post and tag photos on Flickr refer to the discussions board on the meetup site.
Sometimes we continue the discussion over coffee or drinks nearby. If you can't make the meeting, feel free to meet us for socializing around 8:30 pm.
