For those new to photography, I can offer a little beginner session to get your feet wet, as I understand this hobby can be somewhat confusing at first.
We will shoot the Seoul cityscape from Ansan (http://findingtheseoul.com/2014/11/06/seoul-photos-ansan-%EC%95%88%EC%82%B0/) near Yonsei University (연세대학교) during the sunset, twilight, and night. There will be a little hiking (less than an hour) and it can get pretty cold, so warm and appropriate clothing is recommended.
We will meet in front of Sinchon Station (신촌역) exit 2 at 3:30pm. Please show up ON TIME.
Gear: Any camera will work, but I recommend one that has manual functions at the least. Any lens range will work as well, preferable one wide angle and one standard or telephoto. A Tripod is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Remotes, Neutral Density filters, Graduated Neutral Density filters would be highly useful.
I also have an extra tripod that can be rented out, please let me know if you need it.
Also if you have time, please give my blog (http://findingtheseoul.com/) a read. It covers photography places, food, and living in Korea :)
