Beautiful and mystical
It's a place close to Brussels, easily accessible for everybody.
If the weather is nice, it's beautiful, if not, it can be even mystical. Especially when autumn spreads it's decent colours everywhere. Surprisingly it's not very well known among the expat scene. It is the National Botanic Garden of Belgium in Meise (a bit - ca. 3km - north of the Atomium).
Outside, there are so many different types of trees which you will rarely see arranged like this anywhere in the world! Not enough, the large greenhouse with its amazing variety of plants is also worth a visit.

last year in October

What to bring
So, bring of course your camera, if you have, your macro and zoom equipment and whatever you may need for landscape AND close-ups. Of course, we will as usual discuss, ask and explain as we go. Don't worry, if you don't have a special photo gear. I have seen stunning pictures which were taken with an instamatic.

What we will do
Also this time, we will be a good mix of experts and beginners sharing the same passion and don't forget: there is always someone who knows something which all the others don't know. We also will have a small challenge for the excitement ;)

What if
As usual, we can expect the weather condition will be perfect for that day, we will meet in any case and in case its raining heavily, there is also the greenhouse and there are some shelters in the park.

Bring some cheese/sausage/etc. and something to drink. We will try to have a pick-nick, probably in on of those tiny weather shelters.

How to get there
Adress: Jardin botanique national de Belgique
Nieuwelaan[masked] Meise
By Car. We also can do some car-sharing. Start the discussion.
By Bus to Meise. Stop is "Nationale Plantentuin".
You can use the planner: with the street address above. In practical terms, we may form two groups. One is coming by bus from Brussels, the others go directly.

If you have any questions, please contact the organizer or start a discussion.
