Beautiful and mystical...

It's a place close to Brussels, easily accessible for everybody.

Greenhouse and park (92 hectares and[masked] kinds of plants and trees)...

Outside, there are many different types of trees nicely arranged and in wide color range! Not enough? The large greenhouse with its amazing variety of plants is also worth a visit.

If the weather is nice, it's beautiful... if not, it can be even mystical, especially in autumn! Surprisingly it's not very well known among the expat scene; it is the National Botanic Garden of Belgium in Meise (a bit - ca. 3km - north of the Atomium).

What to bring:

So, bring of course your camera, if you have, your macro and zoom equipment and whatever you may need for landscape AND close-ups. We will as usual discuss, ask and explain as we go. Don't worry if you don't have a special photo gear, I have seen stunning pictures which were taken with an instamatic.

We will also have a pick-nick, so bring something tasty! ;)

What we will do:
As usual, we will be a good mix of experts and beginners sharing the same passion, and don't forget, there is always someone who knows something the others don't know. We will also have a small challenge for the excitement :D

What if:
We expect the weather conditions to be perfect for that day... but in case it's raining heavily, there is also the greenhouse and some shelters in the park.

Autumn pick-nick:
Bring some cheese/sausage/etc. and something to drink. We will try to have a pick-nick, probably in one of those tiny weather shelters.

How to get there:

Jardin botanique national de Belgique
Nieuwelaan[masked] Meise

By Car: We can also do some car-sharing. Start the discussion.
By Bus to Meise: Stop is "Nationale Plantentuin".

You can use the planner: with the street address above. In practical terms, we may form two groups. One is coming by bus from Brussels, the others go directly.

If you have any questions, please contact the organizer or start a discussion.
