"Lightroom 4 to CS6 Workflow" with William Palank, presented by Leica Camera

IMPORTANT: We will be taking RSVPs via EVENTBRITE for this meeting.
DO NOT RSVP via Meetup.

->RSVP and reserve your spot by clicking this link<-

With the advent of Lightroom 4 a new Develop Module has been introduced with completely renamed sliders. Photographer William Palank hopes to clarify some of these changes and propose a workflow completely different than in Lightroom 3 or its predecessors, bringing forth even more control with Shadows and Highlights on a single image.

He will also show participants how he always finishes off the image in the latest version of Photoshop whether submitting work for Print or Web.

Williamʼs presentation will not include importing into Lightroom as he feels there are
enough good resources in books or on the internet. He will however, show how he takes
his images through the Develop Module in Lightroom 4 to CS6. In the Photoshop
application he will discuss Advanced Plug-ins along with Sharpening and other finishing
touches he applies to all of his images.

William Palank is an Award Winning Environmental Portrait Photographer and Fine-Art Printer. Recently he won the 2012 Grand Prize Portrait Category for Planet Magazineʼs Annual Travel Photography Contest. He was also co-winner First Place of the prestigious 2012 PDNʼs “World in Focus” Travel Photography Contest in the “Travel Portrait Category” with over 14,000 submissions.
He is an active presenter/teacher for the Leica Akademie North America specializing in their M9 Digital and Street Photography Workshops. His work has been featured on both the Leica Blog and Broncolor Lighting Blog.
He lives and breathes in San Francisco and is currently throwing darts at a map to
determine his next trip (no, really!).

PARKING - Attendees can park on the street for free starting at 6pm, and the parking spots are relatively close to the Adobe main entrance on Townsend. They are metered street parking.
