Photoshop - the basics for photographers

  • Apr 1, 2014 · 7:00 PM
  • Ian Murray Photography

Learn the key photoshop basics you need as a photographer.

In this intensove session Ian will introduce you to the skills, tools and techniques that will allow you to successfully post-process your images.

Taking a step by step approach you will be introduced to the power of brushes, actions and layers. You will learn how to quickly use essential blending modes like:

Screen

Multiply

Overlay

Darken

Lighten

Luminosity

Each of which can be used to enhance and improve your images.

You will learn the value of Photoshop Actions and learn to make and save your own.

You will learn how an image can be sharpened by blurring it.

Ian has used photoshop on a daily basis for over 12 years and is an expert in enhancing photographs.

This class assumes that you have little or no knowledge of Photoshop and is suitable for those who wish to make the jump to the full version of Photoshop from Elements and/or Lightroom.

The class costs just $35

It is recommended that you don't bring a laptop- the session teaches understanding of the key principles not just a series of rote steps that you follow.
