Previous attendees on Ian's portraiture and lighting classes have left the following reviews:

I just had a class with Ian at my usual group night. He kindly led a portrait workshop for us. I was blown away by this guys knowledge and teaching skill. I have spent thousands of dollars to hear and see the 'best in the business' but I found Ian to be by far the best I have ever seen. His patience, humor, and willingness to give up his knowledge is unique and extremely refreshing. I wish I had discovered him years ago. He taught us more in two hours than I have gained in days from other teachers and he made it all so easy. I will definitely be spending more time at Ian's classes and I would recommend him to anyone who is serious about learning photographic skills. Ian is certainly the best photography teacher in New England and I susoect he ranks in the top five in the USA. He should be charging ten times what he currently charges - and if he did it would still be great value! I urge you to join this group and attend his workshops.

I just finished a one on one session with Ian as part of the wonderful lighting kit offer. This guy is an amazing teacher; forget Scott Kelby, Kevin Kubota and others, if you want personal instruction from a real master teacher and photographer then you should hire Ian. He has that magical ability to teach at your level and get you to an understanding of the topic in ways that seem effortless. He is easy going, fun and entertaining but most of all he is dedicated to teaching you what you need to know. I have been to other teachers who pack their classes with students and prattle on about how wonderful they are and how they have the latest equipment that everyone should go out and buy. Ian is totally different- he has no agenda other than having you learn what you came to learn, and he seasons this with valuable tips and tricks from his vast experience. He is an absolute master in helping you start your photography business and I would recommend him ahead of anyone else.

Ian definitely knows what he is doing and can answer any question you can come up with about photography. He loves what he does and is very good at it. It's clear that he is a natural teacher so just by being around him you gain more skills. What a great thing!
