Imagine you're a painter!

You see a wonderful scene in front of you and you begin to add the important parts of that scene to your canvas. You ignore and leave out anything in the scene that doesn't add to the effect you want to create - adding only those parts of the scene that you feel are important.

If only eliminating extraneous clutter from our photographs was that simple, but unfortunately the camera captures everything that is in the viewfinder. Creating a strong image involves carefully composing the shot so that you only include the things that matter and somehow exclude everything  else that doesn't add anything to the image.

Our most difficult job is to subtract those unwanted elements from the photograph by careful use of technique and compositional skills.

Come along to the our weekend workshop on the Cape in December and learn these key techniques and much more to help you develop your ability to move from vision to successful execution of your photograph.
